Apple Analyst's 9 Gift Recommendations For 2022 Holiday Season; Tesla's $30K EV And 2 More Items In 2023 Wishlist - SPDR S&P Retail ETF (ARCA:XRT)

Even in the face of uncertainties, consumers continue to be resilient, estimates by retail industry bodies show.

What Happened: A record 166.3 million people are expected to shop from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday this year, up eight million from a year ago, according to a survey by the National Retail Federation in association with Prosper Insights & Analytics.

Noted Apple Inc. AAPL analyst and Loup Funds’ co-founder Gene Munster has the following recommendations for gifting this holiday season:

1. Customized Moleskin Journal: Priced at $31, it would be an apt gift to those who love paper to pen, Munster said. Moleskin is an Italian manufacturer that produces luxury notebooks, planners, sketchbook etc.

2. Lego Classic Building Toy Set: This gift item from Danish toymaker Lego is priced at $43.

3. NERF Pro Gelfire Blaster: Marketed by toymaker Hasbro Inc. HAS, this product is priced at $60.

4. Anker 735 GaN Charger: This USB C charger is a PPS 3-port fast compact foldable wall charger for hardware products from major tech companies. It is priced at $60.

5. AirTag 4-pack: This Apple accessory used for tracking personal items comes at $99.

6. Lululemon Down For It All Vest: This Lululemon Athletica Inc. LULU manufactured vest, especially for running in cold weather, is priced at $148.

7. ReMarkable 2 Tablet: It’s a second-generation product manufactured by the namesake company. It could be just the right gift for digitally-minded notetakers and is priced at $299.

8. Apple Watch Ultra: This Apple product is priced at $799.

9. Two-Day Racing School: This is meant for training students for racing, and is a follow-up to the three-day racing school. It costs between $1,000 and $7,000, depending on location and duration.

Munster also shared a trio of items he hopes to be available b for gifting during the 2023 holiday season: These include:

  • Nintendo Co. Ltd. NTDOY 64 Classic Edition
  • Apple’s mixed-reality headset
  • Tesla Inc.’s TSLA $30,000 Model 2 vehicle; The analyst expects an announcement to be made in this regard in 2023, with the availability likely in early 2025.

Price Action: The SPDR S&P Retail ETF XRT closed Wednesday’s session up 0.33% at $66.64, according to Benzinga Pro data.
