SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) announced the election of new board members to helm the apex trade body during the two year period 2022-’24.
According to the GJEPC press release, Mr. Vipul Shah has taken charge as the Chairman of GJEPC for the tenure of September 2022- September 2024. Also, Mr. Kirit Bhansali of Smital Gems has been elected as the new Vice Chairman. It must be noted that Vipul Shah has been the Chairman of the trade body during 2012-’15.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Vipul Shah noted that he feels privileged and energised to return to the role of GJEPC Chairman in these exciting times. The Indian gem and jewellery industry is at the start of yet another growth phase and is set to achieve the export target set by the government for FY 2022-23. Furthermore, he thanked the government for its continued support to the industry through a series of trade friendly measures.
Meantime, Mr. Kirit Bhansali said that he is honoured to get the opportunity to serve the industry as Vice Chairman of the great organisation built with years of toil. GJEPC, through its continued leadership will take the s industry into a new phase of growth, dynamism, and prosperity, he added.
