Psychedelics Take Center Stage In Davos: World Economic Forum's Top Minds Gather To Discuss This New Field

Psychedelics will lead the conversation inside the Davos House of Health for a second year in a row this January. The event is running parallel to the World Economic Forum.

This year’s opening session, titled “Wisdom Health: consciousness leadership,” will discuss how this company aims to transform, inspire and expand the awareness of psychedelics, and will be led by the Swiss non–profit’s founder Álvaro Guirao and emerging inner designer Astrid Brinck.

Organized by US non-profit Energia Foundation, the event will bring together the leading global human health innovators and the world’s most prominent stakeholders in the field.

The second panel, “How to save the world: investing in health and the advancement of human consciousness” will provide an opportunity for investors and philanthropists interested in reducing our most pressing existential threats – all through the lens of shifting human consciousness.

Speaking at this panel will be Maria Velkova, managing partner at Tabula Rasa Ventures; Marik Hazan, executive director of Energia Foundation and founding partner of Tabula Rasa Ventures and Sherry Rais, CEO and co-founder of Enthea.

The new House of Health will be located within the House of Balance in Davos, Switzerland, with sessions taking place between January 18-21, 2023.

In addition to having hosted the first comprehensive psychedelic programming in Davos, event organizer Energia has launched a support program for organization builders working to create greater access to psychedelic therapies and is currently working with a US university hospital to launch a “Center for the Collective Healing.”

Another European event will be taking place on the Davos House of Health’s first day, reaffirming psychedelics’ growing influence.

The “Integrating microdosing in our social lives” is a one-day virtual and in-person panel in the Social Hub Ams City, organized by The Microdose in Amsterdam.

Discussions will include the psychedelic spectrum from micro to macrodosing, how psychedelics can help people overcome social anxiety by evoking empathy and what the future of microdosing might look like.

Speakers include Ben Rein, PH.D. in neuroscience who works in Dr. Robert Malenka’s lab at Stanford University and Josi Marschall, a PH.D. candidate in cognitive psychology and board member of the Amsterdam Psychedelic Research Association.

Following the presentations, a panel discussion will be hosted by Sara Budhwani, creator of the microdosing brand Happy Tea.
