Mr. Szot held these positions at Rip Curl, Inc., a leading company in wetsuit and action sports gear products, from 2003 until December 2006.
Mr. Szot worked as a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG from 1996 to 2003. He managed audits for a number of publicly traded businesses. Mr. Szot is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and holds a B.S. in Agricultural Economics/Accounting from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Matthew K. Szot has been named the new chief financial officer of Cadrenal Therapeutics, Inc. (“Cadrenal”), a biopharmaceutical firm working to develop tecarfarin, a new cardiorenal treatment in the clinical studies with an orphan medication indication. Szot joins Cadrenal with over over 25 years of executive-level financial expertise. For more than 11 years, he served as CFO of S&W Seed Company (NASDAQ: SANW), a world leading seed technology company centred on middle market crops, as well as Rip Curl, a major sports sponsor and designer, manufacturer, and retailer of surfing apparel and related products.
From December 2015, Szot has been a director and vice chairperson of the company of SenesTech (NASDAQ: SNES), a company that develops and distributes EPA-registered rodent fertility management. From September 2020, Mr. Szot has held positions on the INVO Bioscience, Inc. (Nasdaq: INVO) board of directors and as head of the audit and compensation committees.
