19th July, 2022: Chinese Stainless Steel Scrap Prices Surged on Index

The global metal recycling leader had appointed Victoria Binn to its Board of Directors in October last year.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Global metal recycling major, Sims Limited, announced the appointment of Philip Bainbridge as an independent non-executive director effective 1st September, 2022. The appointment is subject to confirmation by shareholders at the annual general meeting scheduled to be held in 8 November 2022.

Mr. Bainbridge brings in extensive senior executive experience, primarily in the oil and gas sector in a variety of jurisdictions, including North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Most recently, he has been the Executive General Manager LNG for Oil Search Limited. Prior to that, he has served in senior executive roles at Pacific National and BP Group and has been the Chairman of the Papua New Guinea Sustainable Development Program.

Geoff Brunsdon, Chairman of the Sims Limited Board of Directors noted that he is delighted to welcome Phil and his many years of invaluable executive level experience to its Board as an Independent Director. Phil’s international experience will benefit the company and its shareholders. His appointment is in alignment with the company’s purpose and strategy. Moreover, Phil’s experience will complement the Board’s existing mix of skills and experience, he added.
