Air Canada and Emirates have signed a strategic partnership agreement, the carriers announced Tuesday. They intend to establish later in 2022 a codeshare relationship through which customers will be able to book connecting travel between the airlines’ networks with a single ticket and have baggage transfers to their final destinations. In addition, the carriers plan to establish reciprocal frequent-flyer benefits and lounge access for qualifying customers. Air Canada and Emirates will announce further details and specific codeshare routes subject to regulatory approvals, according to the carriers.
