TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap prices displayed mixed trend on ScrapMonster Price Index as on October 12th, Wednesday. Aluminum scrap prices witnessed surge on Index, whereas Copper scrap prices edged down on Index. Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher marginally. Meantime, Stainless Steel, Brass/Bronze and Steel scrap prices remained unchanged on Index over the previous day.
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.01 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery were flat over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed no change from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on October 12th, 2022.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were flat on Index.
The price of Romex Wire witnessed no change during the day.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too surged higher by $0.02 per Lb each.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions recorded a jump by $0.03 per Lb over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions edged higher by $0.03 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively when compared with the previous day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators prices edged higher by $0.01 per LB. Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Transformers prices held steady. Breakage 50% Recovery prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on October 12th, 2022.
Chrome Wheels edged higher by $0.02 per Lb on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices were up by $0.04 per Lb over the previous day.
Litho Sheets and MLC Clips surged higher by $0.02 per Lb from previous day’s levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too inched higher by $0.02 per Lb.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC were up by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too increased by $0.02 per Lb each.
#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 12th October, 2022.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.
201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.
304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.
304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on October 12th, 2022.
309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
