TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index as on August 23rd, Tuesday. Aluminum scrap prices surged, whereas Steel scrap prices saw no change on Index. Brass scrap and Bronze scrap too reported no variation in prices over the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel Scrap prices dipped on Index.
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 250 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 250 per MT each.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 250 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery held steady when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were unchanged.
Cu/Al Radiators witnessed no change.
