Miles Preps Ground Transport Mgmt. App for '22 Release

Delta Air Lines plans to offer daily direct service between New York-JFK and Berlin Brandenburg Airport beginning in May 2023, the carrier confirmed. It would operate the route with a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

The carrier previously had “launched and terminated multiple times” New York-Berlin service, according to Simple Flying. The most recent launch was in 2017 between JFK and Berlin Tegel Airport, which was permanently closed in November 2020. Delta had removed the route, however, in 2019, according to the report.

The carrier did not comment on its prior service for this route when asked.

Delta also confirmed plans to resume service between Detroit and Monterrey, Mexico, beginning Sept. 6, with four roundtrip flights weekly. The route will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with Detroit departures at 9:48 a.m. and return Monterrey departures at 1:48 p.m.
