SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) Limited announced that it has been selected as winner of two categories in the National CSR Award 2020 declared by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The Naveen Jindal-led company was declared winner in two categories- ‘CSR in Aspirational Districts/ Difficult Terrains’ (Eastern India) and ‘Contribution in National Priority Areas’ (Support to differently-abled).

The winners were selected after a rigorous three-stage selection process, followed by field verification and jury evaluation.

Commenting on the achievement, Naveen Jindal, Chairman, JSP noted that the company has been implementing multidimensional social development programmes under its CSR arm to improve the quality of life of the community in in the geography of its operational locations and beyond. The National CSR Award under two categories is indeed a recognition of its ‘Passion for People’ philosophy.

Meantime, Shallu Jindal, Chairperson, JSP Foundation said that it is humbled and encouraged to have been awarded with the highest recognition for its CSR programmes. All of its programmes are completely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The awards will continue to motivate it to further accelerate its efforts, Shallu added.
