Amtrak has promoted its chief commercial officer Roger
Harris to president, Amtrak announced Thursday. In addition, the company
promoted Gerhard Williams to EVP of service, delivery and operations. Both
appointments are effective as of July 5.
As president, Harris will report to Amtrak CEO Stephen
Gardner. He has been CCO in charge of marketing and revenue since April 2019,
according to Amtrak. Williams, who will report to Harris, will succeed Scot
Naparstek, who is retiring. Williams joined Amtrak in 2017 and most recently
was SVP of service delivery and operations.
